Smoked Shrimp


  • About 20 whole prawns with shells
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • A handful of smoking chips



1.Remove the back vein from the whole prawns and rinse them under water, keeping the shells intact.


2.Place the prawns on a tray, sprinkle salt over both sides, and let them sit for about 30 minutes.


3.Rinse off the salt, pat the prawns dry with kitchen paper, and let them air dry for approximately 1 hour.


4.Line the bottom of the SMOKER-X with aluminum foil, add a handful of smoking chips, and heat on high for about 3 minutes until you see smoke.


5.Arrange the prawns on the middle plate and rack, cover, and smoke over medium heat for 20 minutes.
